2015 Pan / Parapan American Games
In 2015, Ontario will play host to 10,000 athletes and officials as well as 250,000 tourists for the Pan/Parapan American Games.
While the best Pan American athletes will compete for gold over 16 days in July, the games real power is in its ability to transform Ontario’s games venues to provide a lasting legacy for the participating communities.
At ArcelorMittal Dofasco, we know the power of sport and the demands of building world class competition and training venues. Our sister operations in South Africa supplied more than 100,000 tonnes of steel for seven new 2010 FIFA World Cup stadiums. In Brazil, our colleagues are hard at work to help build the infrastructure and venues required for both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
And at home, in Ontario, we are looking forward to our 100th anniversary of researching, developing and manufacturing advanced steels that continue to transform the world around us.
