Juergen G. Schachler, President and Chief Executive Officer
Scott Maki, Vice President Finance
Scott began his career in the Taxation Department at Algoma in 1989 and transferred to Dofasco Hamilton in 1990. Since then, Scott has held various senior financial positions in Taxation, Treasury, Investor Relations, Strategic Development, and Financial Reporting.
Scott was Director, Finance & Administration at Powerlasers, and prior to his appointment to Vice President, Finance, he was Director, Corporate Taxation at ArcelorMittal Dofasco.
As part of his responsibilities, Scott also serves on the Boards of various ArcelorMittal Dofasco subsidiaries as a Director and Treasurer. Scott graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). He became a Chartered Accountant in 1988.
Brad Davey, Vice President Sales & Marketing
Brad joined Dofasco in 1986 as a member of the company's Technology Department. In 1990, he was assigned to the Hot Mill as a Supervisor and held various roles in Maintenance and Operating Technology, until his appointment as a Business Unit Manager in 1996.
Brad also led the Hot Mill modernization program and a technical exchange program with the former NKK Steel from 1999 to 2001.
In 2002, Brad joined Commercial as Manager of Marketing and became General Manager of Marketing in 2005. Brad was appointed Director of Sales in 2007, responsible for all flat rolled sales to Construction, Manufacturing, Distribution, Tubular, and Packaging Industries.
In October 2008, Brad assumed additional responsibilities for Marketing and Commercial Business Development, and was promoted to Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Brad holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McMaster University and is on the Board of Directors for ArcelorMittal Tubular Products.
Sean Donnelly, Vice President Manufacturing
Tony Valeri, Vice President Public Affairs and Communications
Tony joined ArcelorMittal Dofasco in June 2011 from his own firm, Ridge Strategy Group, a public affairs and management consulting company. Tony was also a Member of Parliament for four consecutive terms, beginning in 1993.
During his terms in office, he served as Minister of Transport and subsequently led the Government's legislative program as Leader of the Government in the House of Commons. Prior to assuming public office he was principal of a life and health benefits practice.
Tony is a graduate of McMaster University and is actively involved in the community, most recently serving on the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, holding the position of Board Chair from 2009 to 2011.
Brian Benko, Vice President of Procurement and Information Technology
After graduating from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree, Brian Benko joined Dofasco in 1987 as a software analyst in the Information Technology Department and held various management positions in operations, application development and infrastructure services.
In 2000, Brian transitioned to the purchasing department and ascended to Director of Purchasing responsible for all purchases, transportation and plant stores inventory until December 2011 when he was appointed Vice President of Procurement and Information Technology.
Brian is also responsible for coordinating procurement sourcing across the ArcelorMittal Canadian plants and is the Executive lead for the slab supply chain between ArcelorMittal Dofasco and ArcelorMittal Montreal.
Brian is actively involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Theatre Aquarius Hamilton and the Chamber of Marine Commerce.
