Pipe Band
Formed in 1938, the Dofasco Pipe Band is the longest continually sponsored industrial Pipe Band in North America. Dofasco Pipers wear the Gordon Tartan, in honour of Huntley Gordon, a former Dofasco Vice President. The Band is managed by Terry Chisholm and the Pipe Major is Mark deJong. The Pipe Band tours across Ontario throughout the summer months. They compete at the Grade 4 and 5 levels, while soloists compete in the Grades 2, 3, and 4 levels. The Band performs at Ontario highland games, and in various parades and local events.
