3.6.2 ST - Transaction Set Header

Purpose: To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number.

The first 5 digits represent
a transmission batch number,
the last 4 digits represent

3.6.3 BPT - Beginning Segment for Product Transfer and Resale

Purpose: To transmit identifying numbers, dates, and other basic data relating to the transaction set.
